Thank You Steve Jobs

Your family has lost a great member. Millions are mourning your passing.

You followed your ideas and revolutionized how technology is utilized and experienced. Your powerful envisions have created a standard and lead in innovation.

Many dream to do as you have Steve and from your speeches at Stanford you’ve given the wisdom to build those dreams! Reading the news today was extremely heart wrecking; yet a new title was given to you: American Genius! That is only a sliver of whom you are and so much more.

I thank you for everything Steve. You’ve given me tools of the future to use, you’ve built dreams into reality, you’ve shared wisdom and knowledge beyond measure.

God bless your family and thank you,
Jack

Google+ is Converting Me!

Mojo JojoThe only strong online social service that I’ve been actively engaged with is Twitter; well after my previous post Social Communities Exploding…, I’m now plunging head first into Google+. After reading some great things about it and nearly anything new from the tech world is always interesting to me, checking it out is mandatory. First and foremost: it just rocks! Honestly the entire design and experience is gripping, intuitive, and crafted to a near perfection. Not quite sure where to put my finger on the mojo jojo that has switched me into expanding my spotlight onto the social website era, but Google+ has the essence of doing so. Google still has the invite system in place for sign up; so, here are my invites: Google+ Invites! Share them and pass the word around!

Now, the hunt begins for integrating my Blog into a better streamlined set-up with Google+ and Twitter so that they 3 share my constructive/destructive offerings. Ideally a WP plugin to send out WP posts to my selective services would rock! Will update within the coming days to share what solution(s) I’ve locked into place to get this ball rolling.

Ringtones App for Mac OS X

Ringtones from The Little App FactoryNormally I smirk at the hilarious ringtones blasting from some random person’s phone on a daily basis. Keeping it simple, the default tones always sufficed for myself. Lately the urge to create my very own and not become victim for the purchased ones I sought out an easy and intuitive app. Presto! presenting Ringtones from The Little App Factory; after roughly about 5 minutes of toying with the app you will be spitting out Ringtones from any song in your iTunes library! This application is beautiful; the interface is simple and iTunes-esque, it will load your music library, playlists and all. From there you can search and locate your track of choice. With some quick options of Fading in or/and out, if you want the tone to loops at your given timed interval, and you can Preview; from there click to add it over to iTunes! BOOM BOOM POW is now rocking your iPhone’s speaker when mom calls.

In the end this app is well worth the investment; even now more so do to the fact that it is on sell for .99¢! Go get it and fill that phone up with some more tones so I can keep wearing my silly smirk daily ;)

Dinner in HDR

Not sure about others but if I can have a digitally enhanced time frozen memory of dinner then bring it on! Okay all silly rambling set aside, was just pulling out the good old T1i to dig deeper grasps into shooting manually and hopefully snagging some HDR of our yummy shrimp Alfredo dinner. For some reason I’m just not getting the effects I am wanting to see overall from my shots. Can’t seem to place fault on the camera having wrong settings or Photomatix settings. The camera is taking a -2, +2, and regular exposure, but in the end I’m not able to create the strong pop of contrast and detail I’d like to see. Fear not though, because determination will get me there. Truly, when looking at Trey Ratcliff’s or RC’s photos I respect their art and mastery to create such stunning pieces of photography. Well without further ado, dinner is served…

Jobless, Inspiration Ignited!

joblessIt’s quite surreal when you read, see, or hear of how bad the economy’s current state is. Now I get the full head smack swing of it; not before being completely disregarded from my previous company that seemingly terminated my position quicker than Bill Clinton can say he didn’t inhale. My sweat, devotion, and grunt hard work for 6+ years meant nothing; yet in a time of insult and injury I was tossed out to drown. As harsh as that sounds it has revitalized a passion within me for so long… caring. Just the genuine emotion of giving back in any way possible. They call it a “Human Race” for a solid reason: that race to excel, succeed, and rush. Yet for what? To top the sales goals from the previous year or gain ground in some other tedious never standardized goal? How about stopping and appreciating what is now and not what isn’t promised. In the end, it won’t matter; it is what’s happening right now right here!

Nonetheless, the same dragged out statement that “Life Goes On” is spoken without the harsh reality of what does that heartedly mean for some? Homeless, hunger, fear, despair, anxiety… this list could go on. How do we slow this Human Race and open the eyes to worth and value? I can share with you how I have — caring. It sounds like nothing, but give someone your attention that is often overlooked or ignored and just your attention alone made that person feel appreciated. I don’t believe in pan-handlers then again I don’t believe anyone should have to go hungry either; would that dollar menu break your bank account if you splurged $5 to the homeless guy/gal on the corner to ensure they enjoyed a meal? That gesture alone brings joy to yourself and to them; just showing that someone cared. Try it today it may fill a desolate hole you’ve felt for awhile.

Now, losing my job shouldn’t have a positive vibe; trust me it’s been a real struggle along with a depleted savings account to go along with it. It won’t stop my dreams and ambitions either. The greatest about the whole situation is that it sincerely shows you who is who when the cards are spitting out nothing for a good hand in life. Sadly enough all those homies and girlfriends aren’t anywhere near when times are rough and you need support. Being able to count, on probably one hand, who I know is real now, is hurtful when you thought you had friends. With this new obstacle I would just like to thank my previous employer for dropping me like I was of no worth to the team. That alone gives me the inspiration to push harder and excel farther now; so, thank you!

Now it’s time to see just what greatness I have packed up inside of me to unleash amazing potential for my next company of representation; just hopefully they value their employees. This inspiration may have also encouraged me to possibly write a book in complete detail of this situation; a cleansing if you will and to spill the beans on what to look out for. Time will tell…
