Halloween Horror Nights 15 and Saw II

What a wonderful weekend it was! It had been planned out for at least a month in advance; Halloween Horror Nights we were going to. Also we added in the cherry topping so to speak of seeing Saw II before we headed down to Orlando on Sunday. Unfortunately me and my sweetheart got into a small tasty quarrel the night we were supposed to go see Saw II; though it didn’t ruin the night completely, we just wouldn’t allow it!
WARNING: Long Post Ahead…

To make up for our argument we headed over to our local Blockbuster to snag some movies to watch at her house. Hitch, Miss Congeniality 2 and M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village were our picks. After choosing to watch Hitch first to cheer us up, we finally settle down on the couch to relax. It was the first time I seen Hitch so I was eager to watch it; my sweetheart finished up using the iBook for her work’s insurance; she wrapped up and came over and snuggled up next to me like a baby does to their mother. It was this here that I adore, Us… together, happy! Not bickering and fighting over nonsense and hardships in our relationship, but the sweet sincere loving quality time spent together.

After the movie we chit-chatted for quite some time. Then we both had realized time had flown right by us like it was nothing… I was getting extremely sleepy as so was my sweetie. It was then we agreed to go to the theater the next night…
I had gotten suited up, jacket, sweater, gloves and helmet, kissed my sweetheart goodnight and wished her sweetdreams… headed outside into the freezing Florida cold weather, damn it was cold! Jumped on my bike and headed home.

Saturday evening rolled around pretty quickly; my anticipation must’ve been on a peak high because I was ecstatic to go see Saw II! I know my baby was eager also. I met her at work about 15 minutes before she was scheduled to get off, I walked around looking at all the neat new-age tech toys waiting; at about 7PM I tell her it’s time to get going the movie starts at 7:20PM! She replies, “I’m enjoying this… let me finish.” I’m like ok… you’ve been here all day working and now at the end of your shift you’re enjoying it? Weird. Finally we left, we arrived at the movies to be greeted with some hefty lines and fair amount of wait time. Shoot! No worries I figured. Once we get to the window for our tickets we purchased the showing for 7:50PM just so we could get good seats and not be crowded. It gave us about 20 minutes before show start time.

We sat there keeping each other company and talking about various things; mainly on our trip the next day for Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights! We were having a great weekend so far and things were smoothing out nicely. Preview after preview showed which seemed like a lengthy sitting of a movie of its’ own; the lights dimmed without warning. It was time, all I was hoping is that the movie would be good and not some spun off sequel to bank on cash. I won’t spoil one piece of the movie, on that tip I do really sincerely suggest everyone goes and sees this movie. Especially if you like thrillers, the entire plot and twisted end are brilliant! Both Saw and Saw II are remarkably well thought pieces of work and it shows.

After the movie we splurged on eating out wherever we wished, Burger King it was, which was a treat because we have been on a strict diet and healthy eating habits. My sweetheart went to B.K. while I headed to her house. She arrived shortly after me, just enough time for me to feed her dog and then wash up. We sat down and began to eat our Whoppers; talk about good stuff. After eating we had to catch up on the two other movies we rented. We popped The Village in first. This night was so sweet and fun, a trip to the theater, Burger King, eating together and then watching more movies snuggled up on the couch is pure bliss! After the two movies it got pretty late and I had to get going…

Sunday was here! It was our big day to make a trip for some serious fun-ness! I got ready as fast as I was possibly able, got our stuff together; we both got dressed up to impress, we both were look super hot! Jumped in the car then headed towards I-75 South for our getaway. During our drive we talked and had each other as company; it was nice. We had gotten hungry on the way down to Orlando so we stopped at a Popeye’s to get some grub. First time I ever ate there, not too bad, not bad at all. The biscuits were it was at though! After getting full we hopped back on the highway to finish our trip.

Arriving in front of the parking toll booths made me feel like a 6 year old kid all over again. After paying for our parking, I just couldn’t stand the anticipation of getting “in”! Parked, finally. Walked into City Walk and began our adventure into the unknown. First we spoke with the information desk in regards to the camera policy and rules, seems as if cameras are allowed. We wound buying a disposable camera. There was absolutely no question about us having to take pictures!

As we walked around there was plenty to see and browse at; from airbrush portrait painters to souvenirs galore! I ended up buying a belt cause it seemed that from buying a new pair of pants a month prior to going here was not planned perfect; I ended up losing a little weight form our diet and work-outs, so now my pants were falling; it was driving me bonkers! After that we headed towards the admission gates and entry way; lines had already been forming, it was an hour before they open! Everyone was ready; we all wanted action! Standing for what might have been 15 minutes my sweetheart says she wants a drink, I tell her to wait in line and I’ll go grab them. About 15-20 minutes later I had the drinks and was returning back to the line. She had moved up pretty far! I’m so glad I didn’t lose her; the crowd was growing immensely for the event. Literally we had to suck down the drinks because we are about to go through the ticket turnstiles, actually I sucked down both, because my sweetie didn’t like it. Once through the ticket turnstile then the metal detectors…. we were “IN“! Yes! Us, me and my baby, were in the park and ready for the greatness it laid before us. The entire atmosphere was key on for Halloween; with fog, eerie music and soundfx and insanely realistic costumed entertainers walking around. Perfect. I knew this night would hold a memory for many years for me; us together in this theme park was a mixture of fun, love and greatness!

As soon as we were through the gates a couple of employees with cameras asked if wanted our picture taken… well of course! Our very first picture taken inside Halloween Horror Nights together; wouldn’t be our last either. Directly as we walked in there was a stage with a live show, not really my thing, nor Erin’s. We quickly hurried off for something more exciting and worthwhile! A ride! We went on The Hulk first, wheeeeeeee! Now that was a blast, all I can say is wow.

After that we headed around the bend for more excitement and action. Next we rode the Amazing Spider Man, talk about mind blowing visual escapade! The night was turning just right, me and my sweetheart were having a wonderful time laughing, getting scared and best of all just having each other’s companionship. We continued to flow with the crowd in a frenzied state of euphoria the whole time, the frightening experiences and screams that shattered the night’s silence is what this was all about. Rides had seemed to grab my most highly fun-factor for the night… I just couldn’t get enough. As for the Haunted House, the two we did go through, just didn’t impress me much. They seemed to have failed miserably in my eyes… which is where I’d of thought they would’ve extremely excelled. I was wrong… it might’ve been my adrenaline on overload from the rides or something but the houses didn’t have that backbone to scare or impress; just my opinion though, I’m sure plenty enjoyed it.

Towards the end of the night Erin started this mission of trying to obtain the squished penny souvenirs. First we didn’t have any pennies, then once we got change she started off with a Cat in the Hat one. When she attempted to get The Hulk penny the stupid machine was misaligned and didn’t print correctly onto the penny. By this time it was almost time to go… the night whizzed right by so quickly as if we were standing still for 5 minutes; then it always does when you’re having fun!

This night with my sweetheart was remarkable and will always be cherished in my memories. It was our night, me and her and just good old fun. Pictures are always good too!

Enjoy…
