1Passwd

I’ve scoped this utility out for Mac OS X for quite some time now. I didn’t question the price, and now that I have a copy, I believe it is worth ever dime that is humbly asked. Apple’s Keychain is so not put to its full potential of a secure area to store information.

Batter-Up…
1Passwd steps up to the plate to deliver an astonishing home-run; this utility integrates into your browsers with a plethora of features that Steve Jobs should have already covered:

  • Manage hundreds of passwords with one master key.
  • Define multiple identities to be used by the form filler.
  • OS X Keychain integration provides maximum security.
  • Integrated with Safari, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, Firefox, Camino, and Flock.
  • Stop keyloggers from recording your passwords and credit cards.
  • Intelligent settings make you secure by default.
  • Easily import from Safari, Firefox, Web Confidential, and RoboForm.

This application is packed with great ease of use features that really make handling all information easy and unforgettable.
I have ti really give a huge thanks to Mac Heist for giving me a special edition of this app!

PS3 Flaunts Nothing

Sincerely I don’t think, other than name alone ” Playstation”, Sony’s PS3 has anything great to offer this new generation of gaming. I try to stay as up-2-date on all aspects of technology and what is hot; I’m not quite sure out of the three systems (Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii) which has the “best: hardware straight up. I’m quite sure it isn’t Wii, and it is between the PS3 and Xbox 360, now though, how well developers can utilize the hardware is another story.

I’ve owned a 360 since launch and have had some bumps with the initial release, but since then been running smoothly and easily. I even stream media to my Xbox360 from my Apple G4! With 360 nearing the 1st year anniversary, Xbox Live will host HD movies, TV and other great stuff to their already proven Xbox Live Marketplace. Beyond simple download-able content is the games, games, and more GAMES! Oblivion, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Gears of War, Saints Row, Call of Duty 3…. all amazing in their wn right, others better than some. What does PS3 serve its gamers?

Then, after reading some articles about PS3’s weaknesses about iPod support, console packaging options, or lack of 3rd party titles it all just seems like this launch isn’t, well, ready. Okay, Sony has one good thing, the “Playstation” name, but truthfully that has never wooed me into a purchase of one of their consoles.

All I know is that I’ve been gaming for the past (almost) year with next-gen games with the Xbox360. So, out of this battle who will come out on top, Sony or Microsoft? Nintendo will have its strong fan followers snag up the Wii or even the Wii60 dual console purchasers for the price of one PS3. Sony you don’t impress me, not in the least. I will however provide your company with the $600… only to flip it on eBay with a pretty profit, so thanks for something — a quick dollar.

Gears of War — FTW!!!

As simply as I can express it…
I just am blown away by this games take on 3rd person shooting. The camera is brilliant, the action is non-stop, and the game mechanics are spot on. I am truly 110% impressed with this game. I would believe it is very safe to say that this game is a system seller! No, it might not be as respected or known as the Halo series, but it holds its own very well. This game actually entices me to play the single player campaign which Halo couldn’t even do; I’m always more intrigued by online gaming.

I would love to stay and fill you in on all the greatness, but I must be going back to the 360 to mow down some locusts!

digg - Tell Steve not to partner with Walmart

Seriously… I slightly knew of the bullshit Wal-Mart was pulling with their whining tactics of losing sales because of iTunes movie sells, but to this extent! Wal-Mart really needs to “Cowboy Up” and get over their pathetic pleas; they already dominant entirely for retail stores alone… so what if you lose some sales do to ITMS.

Technorati; Reclaiming Blog

That title sounds a little pointless. Well, I’ve been having some sort of issues to where Technorati is not updating my posts!! It had gotten to be 138 134 days late of not updating. I’ve exhausted every method I could run across online with and now I’m just deleted my claim and am re-sending it. Here’s to hoping…

Nyko’s Intercooler May Burninate the Xbox 360

Quite funny how I’m a frequenter of the GameFAQS message boards and roughly 90% of the users have praised this cooling accessory; finding it severely humorous… really. Simply, if ‘know-it-alls‘ would just heed Microsoft’s warnings and keep the console in a well ventilated area, the Xbox 360 would function just fine.

Hopefully Bungie and Micorsoft can devise a nice flow of tidbits to tide all the faithful fans until this thirs installment the epic series. I never got into the single player story of this game, but there were plenty of dedicated hours in Halo 2’s Xbox Live sessions!

Gaming Heaven Holiday

It just isn’t fair, not for anyone — gamers or loving parents footing the bill. This holiday, the grand year of 2006, is going to break a lot of bank accounts and leave wallets/purses cashless. Luckily I’m very content with my Xbox 360 and have no desire for the lousy PS3 or innovative Wii coming out next month. It is going to be hot hot hot! I’m willing to bet PS3’s will sell like gold on eBay and Wii will dish out a great way to game in an all new way.

Now, even though I’m content with my system choice this generation I too have a dilemma: which games to get and which to pass? Developers have had adequate time to learn 360’s architect so that they can dish out astounding graphical greatness! My recent game, that my sweetheart love bought me, was Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Talk about a new leaf in one of the most amazing series ever! Then comes next month, November, with its releases that have my attention boosted way up:

  • F.E.A.R
  • Call of Duty 3
  • Gears of War Collector’s Edition
  • Tony Hawk’s Project 8
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas Collector’s Edition

Just wow really… roughly that is a bill of $320 w/o tax! OUCH! Well cheers everyone, because here is a salute to a great holiday year with games galore of all kinds and forms!

Game on!

Gears of War || Rainbow Six: Vegas

Both!

These two titles are going to be very impressive, I believe. I haven’t played either, but it’s been almost a year since launch and everyone should know what happens when adequate time is given to developers — they present astounding results with amazing offerings of digital goodness! Time has elapsed since 360’s release so now developers have a better understanding of the hardware and can produce quality. No, I’m not inferring that games have been junk, but it just gets better with time passing; sort of like a wine’s elegant taste.

I sincerely feel both these games are “must have” titles and no one should pass them up. Rainbow Six: Vegas hopefully brings back some root game-play that keeps everyone addicted to Live for at least a year. For Gears of War, well, it should bring innovation and something fresh with a twist.

Just my insight on these up coming titles.

WordPress and Pinging Services

I’m not quite sure what might be the issue, but I just found out, after 130 days, that WordPress has not been pinging services. At least I don’t think it has. I logged in over at Technorati recently, just to realize that my blog hasn’t been updating with them for that long! Are you serious?

After reading some, I decided to install this plug-in: Smart Update Pinger. It seems a lot more effective for only pinging services when a “NEW” post is actually made rather than every single minor updated one.

I’m hoping after all this time I didn’t ban my blog off of some sites! If so, how or where would I inquire to possibly of removing such bans and to possibly start re-indexing?

Potion Factory Blog - Introducing Tangerine

After reading a small excerpt from TUAW, in regards to this application, I was hooked! I’m a huge music fan and treasure my collection. Any utility that offers new ways to interact with my vast library is more than welcomed from me. This program is still in BETA phase so expect hiccups; although, I’ve been running it quite smoothly so far.

Steve Jobs is Great

After reading his simple statement:

“It takes forever. By the time you’ve gone through all that, the girl’s got up and left! You’re much better off to take one of your earbuds out and put it in her ear. Then you’re connected with about two feet of headphone cable.”

Read a whole interview with Newsweek asking Mr. Jobs some iPod/MP3 things..

That is brilliant. Well Microsoft, if you can’t woo the females then you failed in this MP3 battle already; they definitely won’t buy themselves this so-called Zune device. Chances are ladies wouldn’t even consider it feasible for their male companions; simply because if it doesn’t attract them, then men won’t be interested either.

Time Flies

It does whether you’re having fun or not. I’ve been so involved with school and all the great homework that’s been assigned to me. Also been fighting off this pesty cold my body was ever so granted to catch. I really dislike being sick… it is just such a miserable feeling being sick all bummed out.

Life Update on Me

Well guess I need to play catch up with myself…
I’ve been intrigued by all sorts of new gadgets, software, and 360 games so let me first run out my list of Toys I Want!

It’s all just too much really; specially on my budget. Not to mention the temptation MacZOT brings!! Yea I’m a sucker I know… tell me, go on. Bet you won’t tell me to my face though now will you?

What else? Ummm… me and Erin are still together, and loving ever so more to each other. This will be the woman I marry. We both are struggling right now to deal with school and everyday living; though, we know it is all for the better of our futures. Sacrifice now to prosper later. Ahhh! My mom just got remarried, and she has really started getting back in the groove of life. Though I’m pretty sure me moving back out on my own helped her gain some peace of mind as well. I’m just too much too handle I believe. So far from what I’ve heard my mom is very happy and well taken care of with this new relationship; I just really hope that she is happy because she suffered for far too long. I love you mom!

Yes, I do reckon that wraps up a lot of things not covered in my life recently. School is good; I scored a 100% on my last Technology quiz. English is very demanding when done proper, though it is a great learning experience for me. Math is fun… weird and very confusing, but fun. It just amazes me how numbers can be manipulated in so many ways! Insane. I’ll let everyone know my last math test score tomorrow when I get it… cross your fingers.

The 25 Worst Web Sites

HA! This is mainly getting linked to here for two reasons: 1: I’m ultimately glad I’m not on the list. Though my sites probably don’t have enough traffic or audience to be noticeable for them to know about them. 2: Eric my main homey should appreciate Worst Site #1!!!

Disco Fever

Having friendships with people in desired positions does have serious benefits! For instance, Austin the developer of Appzapper and the very popular un-released new application he has been working on Disco has gave me exclusive information in regards to Disco. Unfortunately I’ve been asked respectfully to not say anything or even show this kick ass screen shot I was privileged to see. This app is going to blow folks away… literally!

The features he spoke of seemed almost like something you’d expect to see in a Sci-Fi flick in the year 3010 or something! I do totally believe this brings applications to a whole new level!

Can you feel it? I can… it’s the feeling of anticipation and anxiety of the newest best thing to come to Mac! Hang on tight the Disco beta will be here soon!

USA’s Failure in Broadband Advancement

Is it me or is the US, supposedly richest country in the world, lack significantly in the broadband progression? Though poorer countries are excelling amazingly with outstanding results and speeds! These minute upgrades: 5mbs to 7mbs and typically no upload boost is weak and insulting to today’s networking demands and communications.

Fios is only very limited and where these communication companies need to sincerely focus, bite the bullet, and start phasing into this real next generation broadband. Get with the new times and demand you corrupted greedy corporate devils.

Upcoming Xbox 360 Dashboard Update

Hear that? Kool-Aid Man voice: “Ohhh Yeahhhhh!”
That folks is the sound of some great news of an approaching update due for the 360 owners out there. It doesn’t explain much but it does put us on our seat edges to welcome a sleek refreshened User Interface, expanded new features (though not all are clear or explained), and the peace that Microsoft is still pumping new technology into our next-gen consoles.

This might even corporate some of the ideas and suggestions mentioned and posted over here: Wild Chicken’s Blog (360 Dashboard Designer)

Software Secrecy - Disco

Ya know it is like being a little kid awaiting for something new to reveal in the open… just knowing it’s coming, yet not precisely knowing what to expect! Well that is the case now folks: Disco - MacZOT is burning up the floor with some hot marketing moves to get your drooling mechanisms working anew. This developer has shown some outstanding work previously with AppZapper; so one can only imagine where this new project might take us… I for one am on board and gun-ho to see what it is!

Well… regardless if you use it or not could you really go wrong with a sexy offer for software for only a mere $4.95!!!! Not to mention it’s from a extremely reputable developer that has proved quality assurance in the past.

Tick… Tock… the clock counts down to what this Disco is and we will find out if it can dance.
